ITALIAN WARSHIPS.
PROGRAMME NOT EXTENDED.
STATEMENT BY MINISTRY. KOME, May 1. Inquiries at the Ministry of Marine ha.ve elicited that, the new warships projected are part of the tonnage allotted to Italy under the Washington Treaty.
They are not a new proposal, but, merely a portion of the regular buildine programme which was suspended pending the results of the. London Naval Conference.
