SIR ADRIAN KNOX.
ATTACK IN PARLIAMENT. LABOUR MEMBER'S OUTBURST. (Received April 10, 11.35 p.m.) CANBERRA, April 10. A scene occurred in the House of Representatives this afternoon. Mr. J. C. Eldridge, Labour member for Martin, attacked Sir Adrian Knox, formerly Chief Justice of tho High Court. Ho declared that Sir Adrian had made n sensational exit from the judiciary after his hand had been exposed and after having become a beneficiary to the extent of i 11,000,000 under tho will of a man who had thrown thousands of families into misery and suffering. Opposition members shouted protests, whereupon tho Chairman of Committee ruled that Judges who resigned were exposed to criticism and enjoyed no Parliamentary protection.
Sir Adrian Knox resigned lite Chief Justiceship recently. lie benefited very considerably under the will of tho late Mr. John Brown, coal magnate.
