Archdeacon 11. Purchas, who was badly hurt when the bus in which he was (ravelling yesterday afternoon was struck by a train at the level-crossing at Hornby, six miles south of Christchurch, is reported to be still in a serious condition. The condition of Mrs. P. H. Johnson, of Pleasant Point, the other passenger who was admitted to hospital, is reported as satisfactory.
