On a charge of attempted rape at Whangarei on April 5, Herbert Morris appeared at tlie- Police Court to-day, before Messrs. J. S. Dent and C. 11. ChisM'll, J.l'.'S. Morris, who reserved his defence, was committed to tho Supreme Court for trial, bail being allowed in his own recognisance of £IOO, and in ono surety of £IOO.
