TREATMENT OF CANCER.
CALIFORNI AN EXPERIMENTS.
WARNING TO SUFFERERS
VANCOUVER. Feb. 20. The journal of the American Medical Association applauds Dr. Coffey and Dr. Ilumber for their experimental- work, and their modest disclaimers that they have developed a cure for cancer in a popular sense, but warns sufferers against tne great trek which has begun toward California to attend the clinics.
The journal adds that an extract similar to Dr. Coffey's has been developed by Professor Hansen, of Minnesota, Jrom the thymus of a calf, that will produce changes in the cancer cells following injection. Still, it; is criminal, the journal adds, to arouse hopes that a cure has been discovered, and sufferers no be dt'.ped by expectations that are la se, so far present knowledge goes. x'
