NO LEASE OF DOCKYARD.
DECISION OF GOVERNMENT.

CANBERRA. Feb. 21
The Prime Minister, Mr. J. H. Scullin, announces that the steps taken bv the late Government to lease the Cockatoo Island dockyard privately have been discontinued. The works will be retained, and the only retrenchment will be the dismissal of some extra men who were put on for refitting the cruiser Canberra recently.
