ALLEGATION OF THEFT
REMAND TO TAUMARUNUI

HAMILTON. Friday
Two Indians, Achhar Singh and Banto Singh, were jointly charged in tho Hamilton Magistrate's Court to-day with stealing £l3 from the person of Earn Chandkor at Taumarunui.
In answer to tho magistrate, SeniorSergeant Sweeney said tho accused could speak English quite well until they were arrested. " Since then they appeared to have lost their knowledge of English. Accused were remanded to appear at Taumarunui on Thursday.
