COURT ORDERS RETURN.
WOMAN DISLIKED DOMINION
Several orders for the return of husbands or wives were made by Mr. Justice Ilerdman in tho Supremo Court yesterdav.
Tho story of a wife who went back to England and refused to return to her husband in New Zealand, was told by Petor Cyril Holway (Mr. Herman), who sought an order for restitution of conjugal rights against Dorothy Neville Hohvav.
Tho parties were married in England in May, 1923, and came to New Zealand tho same month, the husband providing a home for his wife. In April, 1927, the respondent went for a trip to England at her own expenso and with her husband's consent, it being understood that she was to remain away for 12 months. She now declined to return. Mr. Just ice Ilerdman: Why will she not return ? Petitioner: She does not like Now Zealand. His Honor: That is surprising. Is that the only reason ? Petitioner said he know of no other. His Honor made an order for tho return of the respondent within 60 days. An order for the return of respondent to petitioner within a period of 21 days was made on tho petition of Ffederick Walter Breed (Mr. Sullivan), against Kathleen Phyllis May Breed. Tho period for return was fixed at 28 days in the petition of Charles Edward Beddoes (Mr. Stevens), against Beatrice Talbot Beddoes, and at 14 days in the cases of Bertio Cooper (Mr. Adams), against Amelia Bertha Cooper; of Harry Warder (Mr. Quartley) against Alice Warder; of William Thomas Davidson (Mr. Singer), against Thelma Lily Davidson; and of Rose Olivo Cox (Mr. Singer) against Henry Cox.
