CINDER TRACK RACING.
< BLANDFORD PARK EVENTS.
i Cinder track racing will be held at the Blandford Park , Speedway this-evening, when some of the most popular local riders Will take part in the programme. C. Goldberg and L. Coulthard will attempt to break the one-lao record of 18 2-ss, and if the' two men are up to their usual form they should cover the distance in good time. The programme will include a championship event, for the gold helmet, the improvers' handicaps and two special "Flying Six" championships. One of the most interesting events of' the/evening should be the challenge race between the, winner of the gold helmet and the winner of the "Flying Six" .race. .
The track is now in good condition and should hold faster speeds than usual. Befcvfeen the races musical items will be given and.patrons are assured of an enjoyable evening's entertainment.
WESTERN SPRINGS MEETING.

• ; The heavy' rain on Saturday necessitated , the postponement of the cindertrack racing at Western Springs, but if 'the weather is suitable the meeting will, be held on Wednesday evening. Tho famous lady rider, Miss Fay Taylour, who has covered a mile on- the Brisbane v, • Speedway in 80s, will make l her first appearanco in Auckland on Wednesday. : Miss Taylour _ rides a Douglas machine, she is said to be. a .worthy rival for anv of the male riders against whom she Y'l}. k® matched.
