NEW CONCRETE ROAD.
ACCESS TO HOWICK,
% COMPLETION OF SURVEY.
The survey of B the section of road from Panmute Bridge to the western boundary of the Howick town district, which will shortly-be concreted by the Manukau. County Council, has been conjpleted and tenders for the work have been called. The tenders will close on March 7, and work will be commenced as soon after that date as possible. When completed the new section will link up with the concrete road to be laid bv thn Howick Town Board, and will provide a first-class motor road from the city to many popular beaches in the outer harbour and the Hauraki Gulf. "
The tenders provide for the regrading of the road, as a number ot hiHs have to be cut down and several hollows filled up. The road will be * 18ft. wide, with easy , grades and well-finished shoulders.
