TWO WOMEN LOSE LIVES.
TRYING TO SAVE CHILD.
MOTHER AND HER SISTER.

Two women were drowned at Makahuj near Stratford, this evening. They were Mrs. A. F. Yarrall and her sister, Miss E. I. Renai.
Mr. Yarrall was visiting Another farm, and the two women took the two Yarrall children, aged five years and seven years, for a swim in the river. - ,
One child got into difficulties and Miss Renai went to its assistance. She also was soon in trouble, and Mrs. Yarrall plunged in, both women being drowned. The story was gathered from the two children who were waiting at home in a very distressed condition when the father returned. Both" bodies have been recovered.
