BOXING.
SARRON TO MEET DONOVAN. The Turanaki Boxing Association has succeeded in matching Pete Sarron with Tommy Donovan, and the contest will take place at New Plymouth on Saturday week. The association is introducing a novelty by staging the match in the afternoon in the open air. Western Park will bo the venue and the bout is timed to start at 2 15 p.m. Western Park is surrounded by hillside terraces on three sides. The association anticipates a record attcndanco tor New Zealand and enthusiasts arc expected to be present from various parts. Sarron s record is well known, while Donovan has had a very fino career sinco joining tin, professional ranks. It should bo a irs - class bout between two such willing fighters.
