HIGHER BUTTER OUTPUT.
NORTHERN WAIROA DISTRICT RECORD PRODUCTION PROBABLE. [BX TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORUESrONDENX. ] DARGAVILLE, Tuesday. Butter production for tho two Northern IVairoa companies for tho season is still keeping up to a very high average and is much in advance of last year's output. The season has been a remarkable one for feed and there is every indication of it keeping so until tho end of the season. Now records arc confidently expected. At Ruau'ai last month the output of butter from the factory reached a total of 121 tons lewt., compared with 103 tons 6cwt. in January of last year, au increaso of over 17 tons. On the season to the end of January an increaso in output »of over 65 tons is shown by comparison with figures for tho corresponding period of last season. Tho amount of butter made to the end of January was 575 tons 13c\vt., while in the corresponding period of last season tho output was 510 tons 4c\vt.
The Northern Wniroa figures are:— January, 364 tons; January, 1929, 331 tons; season to January 31, 1674 tons 15cwt.; 1928-29 season to samo date, 1661 ton's lOcwfc.
The increasod production at both factories more than balances the lower price received for butter-fat and the pay-out in the aggregate is some thousands of pounds in advance of that which was received by suppliers over the same period of last season. ,
