Lucky Shot.—Work for the past week has been confined to 1 !io slopes over the intermediate level. When broalung down the reef on January 31 wo secured 10lb. of picked stone with gold still showing. Wo had a return of 2505!. 1 pennyweight of melted gold from the trial crushings from the dump out, of the Golden Age reef. The estimated value .is about £GB. Waiomo Sulphide.—Tho north drive on (lie new reef lias been extended 204 ft., and has penetrated tho intrusion of hard rock. The reof is new increasing in size. A riso on this reef to connect with No. 2 level, 110 ft. overhead, is being commenced tOift. south of tho present face. A crosscut has just touched the footwall of tho now reef at No. 2 level. When tho hangiugwall has been reached the value of the reef at this point will be ascertained. The point of intersection is directly overhead from tho point where the reef was first exposed at No. 3 level. A leading stopo is being taken along at No. 3 level north and south ill payable ore, Stopes aro abo being carried on tho Zeehaii reef and on' the North reef. The aerial tramline lias been completed and awaits equipment with electrical power. Tho completion of the power installation should bo effected in about ton days.
