DAVIS CUP CONTEST.
DRAW FOR THIS YEAR.
AUSTRALIA'S OPPONENT.
LONDON, Feb. 3.
In Jhe first round of the Davis Cup contest Australia will play Switzerland, and the winner will meet the winner of the match between Monaco and Ireland in the second round, and thereafter will meet the survivor of the matches between Poland and Rumania, and Germany and Britain in the third round.: The winner will then encounter the sur* vivor of Norway and Austria, and Italy, and Egypt in the semi-final.
The other half of the draw consists of Czeeho-Slovakia, Denmark, Holland* Finland, Greece, India, Japan, Hungary,; Jugoslavia, Sweden and Belgium.
The American zone first round will be Mexico v. Cuba, Canada v. United States. The first round must be finished by May 6, the second round by May 18, and tho third round by June 9. The zone finals will be played on July 11, 12 and 13, the inter-zone finals on July 18, 19 and 20, and the challenge round on July 25, : 26 and 27.
