\ NO TRACE OF MISSING MAN.
WOMAN'S CONDITION IMPROVES
No trace was found yesterday of Mr. J. L. Davies, who loft his home in Taumata Koad, Edendaie, on Tuesday afternoon. His coat and hat were found on the waterfront near King's Drive, together with similar articles belonging to a woman and a number of letters written by the pair in which they intimated their intention of committing suicide together.
The woman, Mrs. Julia Cubitt, who was found on the eastern tide deflector, was removed to the Auckland Hospital in an unconscious condition. Yesterday she had recovered partially, but she is not in a condition to give any information concerning the affair.
