WEDDINGS.

HITCHEN—SIN CLAIR. •- The wedding was celebrated at St. James' Presbyterian Church, Pukekohe, recently, of Miss Mary R. Sinclair, youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair, 'of Dunoon, Scotland, to Mr. Philip R. Hitchen, only son of Mr. and Mrs. of Pokeno. The Rev. J. Pattison officiated. The bride, who was, given av7ay by Mr. J. Anderson, of Stanley Bay, wore a frock of white crepe de chine embroidered in gold. Her veil was held in place by a head-dress of orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of pink and white flowers.. The bridesmaid, Miss Nes. Boyd, attended the bride, wearing a frock of powder-blue romanette with an uneven hemline and hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of psony roses and blue delphiniums. Miss Margaret Blair and Miss Marion Butterworth were flower girls, each carrying? a basket of pink and blue flowers. The bridegroom -was attended by Mr. D- Ewing as best man.

BOVAIRD—McKINNEY. The marriage was celebrated at St. James' Church last Wednesday evening of Miss Cuth McKinney, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. McKinney, of Mount Eden, late of Warkworth, to Mr. Thomas.-F. Bovaird, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Bovaird, of Ponsonby. The Rev. Evan R. Harries performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. L. McKinney, wore a frock of white satin beaute cut on simple lines, with a skirt of flared frills. Her veil, which formed a train, was caught at each side of the head with orange blossom, and she earned a bouquet of carnations, sweet peas and orange blossom. In attendance as bridesmaids, were Miss Edna McKinney and Miss Marie Ballantine. They were dressed alike in frocks of marigold georgette, with frilled skirts and large cape collars, and wore tulle head-dresses. They carried bouquets of roses, carnations and pansies. Mr. J. Drummond attended the bridegroom as best man, and Mr. B. Paterson was groomsman. Mrs. McKinney, mother of the bride, wore a black silk coat and hat and carried a mauve posy. Sirs. Bovaird was in navy figured satin with a black hat, and she carried a posy of autumntinted flowers.

* KILGOUR—FALLA.

The marriage took place in St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Devonport, on Wednesday, of Miss Dorothy Jean Falla, to Mr. John Robertson Kilgour. The Rev. Lawson Marsh performed the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Geo. Budd, The

bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a period frock of ivory georgette. The tight-fitting bodice had long sleeves and was finished with a yoke of blonde lace. The skirt of tiered georgette had an inset panel of blonde lace and showed an uneven hemline. The embroidered veil was fastened at the sides with clusters of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet. The

bridesmaids, Miss N. Falla and Miss Jean Budd, wore frocks of primrose-sprigged taffeta,' made in Early Victorian fashion with hats to tone. They carried primroseshaded bouquets. , The best man was Mr. James Healy, cousin of tho bridegroom, and Mr. Gordon Medland -was groomsman. The church had been decorated by friends of' the bride and tho service was fully choral. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Masonic Hall, where Mrs. Falla received the guests in a French frock of black Chantilly lace, and black hat of Bangkok straw. She carried a flame-coloured bouquet. Mrs. J. R. Kilgour, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of marine blue marocain with blue crinoline hat. She carried a crimson bouquet.
