KING'S SCHOOL CONTESTS.
RESULTS OF VARIOUS EVENTS
The annual boxing contests of King's School, Reniuera, were" held in the school gymnasium yesterday afternoon in the presence of a good attendance of parents and .friends. Some willing bouts in all weights were decided, and the majority of the contestants in the various classes were evenly matched. Captain F. Potter acted as judge: Following are tho results:—
Light-heavy-weights.—A. Jacobs beat C. A. Fleming, S. H. Jagger beat J. H< Weir, J. W. Gunn beat R. D. Bamford, R. Dodd beat J. H. MacDiarmid. Semifinals: A. Jacobs beat S. H. Jagger, J. W. Gunn beat R. Dodd. Final: A. Jacobs beat J. W. Gunn.
Middle-weights.—C. 0. McGruther beat W. St. G. R, Wilson.
Light-weights.—P. R. Western beat J. R. Norris, E. Wade beat F L. 'Abbott. Final: E. Wade beat P. R. Western. Bantam-weights.—D. W. Garland beat M. A. Hume, R. B. Abbott beat R. G. King. Final: D. W. Garland beat R. B. Abbott.
Mosquito-weights.—l. L. R. Wilson beat J. 0. Cootc, J. L. R. Wilson beat M. L. Calder, R. M. Singer beat K. N. R. Wilson. Final: J. L. R. Wilson beat R. M. Singer. There was no contest for the school heavy-weight championship, the title going to J. M. Sniallfield.
