CHURCH MEETING.

ONEHUNGA PRESBYTERIANS.

A total revenue of £I6BO during the • year was disclosed in the statement of accounts presented by the treasurer, Mr. J. Hitt, at the annual meeting of the Onehunga Presbyterian congregation on Wednesday evening. Of the amount £356 had been specially raised for . Home and Foreign Missions. The total debt on the church properties was only £723, to be reduced shortly by promises already received amounting to about £l5O. The pastor of the church, the Rev. D. D. Scott, presided. Mr. H. Murdoch, . who submitted the session's leport, said that Mr. Scott was the most, highly-re-spected pastor in the Auckland' Presbytery. Mr. John Craig, paid a warm tribute to Mr. Scott, saying that he had retained the goodwill and esteem of the congregation for a-quarter 1 of a century. The managers' report, presented by Mr. .A Cole,, included a compliment to the School Committee- for adopting the Nelson system of. Bible-reading in schools. Reports on the Sundayschool were pre- . sen ted by Miss M. Robb, on the Te Papapa Sunday school by Mr. H. S. Scott-, the Tawhiri Road Sunday, school by Mr. A. A. Smyth, the Bible-class by Mr. Ellis Schnaekenberg, and on various other church activities by Miss Jean Hussey, Miss Mollis Park, Miss M. Hitt, Miss Ramsay, Mr. W. G. Stoupe and Mr. B. Potter. - Messrs. D. G. Cole and H. Murdoch were elected representatives on the Council of * Christian Congregations. Messrs J. Park and N. A. Whyte were appointed auditors. The following managers were elected :—Messrs A. Skinner, R. Bisset, A. A. Smyth, G. Davies, D. Chalmers, and li. Ramsay. ' ~ .
