ALPINE SPORTS CLUB.

MEMBERS' GATHERING.

Interest and enjoyment were happily combined at u gathering of members of the Alpine Sports Club yesterday, v/hen a club members' evening was held under the auspices of the social committee, in Miss Johnson's hall, Omahu Road, Remuera. The proceedings opened with a travel talk by Miss Elsie K. Morton on South Westland, and this was followed by a lecture on the Southern Alps, illustrated by lantern slides, given by the president of the club. Professor R. M. Algie. A short musical programme was also presented, consisting of songs by Miss Noel Cotter and Mr. T. Scott, the accompanistes being Miss M. G. Heath and Master D. Walton respectively. Supper was later served ana afterwards dancing took place, this bringing to a clcse a very enjoyable evening. Among those who were present were:— Miss E. B. McFarlano. Miss Edna Bowell, Miss Y.
