LEADING TEAMS TO MEET.

The fifth neries of matches in tho senior competition of the Auckland Cricket Association will be commenced to-morrow, when the following games are set down for decision:—University v. Pnrnell, Eden Park No. 1: Ponsonby v. United Suburbs, Eden Park No. 2; Y.M.C.A. A v. Grafton, Eden Park No. 3;; Eden v. North Shore, North Shore.

Chief inteiest, will centre in the match on the No. 1 ground at Edtn Park, as University is at present in the lead for tho championship one point ahead of Parnell. which holds second place. Neither side has po far suffered defeat and a keenly contested match should result. On present form Ponsonby and Grafton ought to win their matches, while North Shore will have to chow vastly improved form to have any prospect of success against Eden. CONCLUSION OF SECOND SERIES. The Auckland City and Suburban Cricket Association will conclude tho second soriea of its senior competition matches at the Domain to-morrow. Ponsonby, with 124 runs for sevon wickets, has a difficult task to reach Ellerslie'-a score of 206. Harbour Board has lost only one wicket for 167 against Albipn, which was dismissed for 145. Tho former should have no difficulty in gaining a two-point win. Green Lane, which scored 241 runs in its first innings, is in a winning position against W.Y.M.1., whose score is 32 runs for tho loss of three wickets.
