AVALON CLUB'S RACE.
The Avalon Pigeon Flying Club flew a race from Te Awamutu in fine weather, an airline distance of 86 miles. Six lofts competed. Results:—Mr. H. Hanlon's blk h Duchess, 1174.4yda. per min, 1; Messrs. Scott Bros.' blk h Mannequin. 117:2.7yd5, 2; Messrs. McGregor's r c c Red Feather. 1172.0yd5, 3. Also flew: Mr. L. Lambie's grizzle h Imperial Quest, 1170 yds: Mr. H. Buclcton's roc "Welcome Home, 1164.1yd5; Mr. J. Wilson's r c h Red Moon, 1156.8yd5.
