UNDESIRABLE ALIENS.

DEPORTATION OF. RUSSIANS. STATEMENT IN THE COMMONS. (Received November 23, 12.15 a.m.) LONDON. Nov. 22. In the Louse of Commons last evening Mr. J. R. Clynes, Home Secretary, stated that since 1924 there had been 70 cases in which it had been impossible to secure the deportation of undesirable Russians. It was the practice to limit the activities of these people in Britain. The recent agreement with Russia did not deal with the subject, but the presence of a Soviet Ambassador in London would doubtless facilitate tho investigation of the activities of Russians. Earl Winterton, formerly Under-Secre-tary of State for India, asked: Will not Russians who aro recommended for deportation be deported when the agreement operates? Mr. Clynes: Many of these cases will be considered.
