WHITE GLOVES WHEN DANCING
WHAT A MODERN CIRL THINKS. For some extraordinary reason the use of white gloves by dancing men has gone out of date. Liko a number of other post-war fashions, it is a step in the wrong direction.
People get excessively hot when dancing, and tho hands in contact with one another- become definitely disagreeable. This consideration, however, is a minor one compared with the enormous amount of damage done by a man's right hand pressing on tho back of an evening frock. I recently saw, says the writer, a girl s velvet frock left with the imprint of her partner's hand on tho back of her dress, which must have rendered it practically useless for further service. Women are unanimous in the- opinion that the wearing of gloves by men affords valuable protection for the dainty frocks of to-day, and a return to chivalry in this respect will be welcomed.
