HAIRDRESSER FINED.
TROUBLE OUTSIDE HOTEL. STRUGGLE WITH THE PORTERS. A disturbance outside a city hotel in the early hours of yesterday morning resulted in the appearance of Monto Brewster, aged 36, hairdresser (Mr. Schramm), before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court, on charges of being disorderly while drunk, and of assaulting Percy Thompson.
Sub-Inspector McCarthy said accused went to tho hotel in company with a boarder, who went inside. Accused then tried to .gain entrance lo secure liquor. Ho was suffering from tho effects of alcohol and porters tried to put him out. He then struck out. The porters were forced to call a constable, and even when he arrived accused fought his way hack into the hotel after being put out once. Tho constable then arrested him. Mr. Schramm said the case was one of a man having too much drink and going mad. Fines of £1 were imposed on each charge.
