COURT ORDERS FOR RETURN

SEVERAL PETITIONS GRANTED.

A number of petitions for the return of separated husbands or wives were granted by Mr. Justico Smith in the Supreme Court yesterday. Two of the petitions were against two brothers named Carder.

Complaint that her husband, Lewis E. Carder, had left her a fortnight prior to last Christmas and had not returned was made by Catherine May Carder (Mr. Singer), who sought an order for his return. They were married in August, 1915, and she assisted him in his occupation as a business agent. He had left her twice before the final breach. He was ordered to return within 14 days.

Married in December, 1907, Lucy Helena Carder (Mr. Singer) sought the intervention of the Court to bring about tho return of her husband, Joshua Carder, who left her last January. Petitioner said she had seven children. Sho had had a great deal of trouble with her husband and he had left her on a number of occasions, but sho desired his return for the sako of the children. The case was adjourned until Monday morning for tho production of certain correspondence.

In seeking an order for the restitution of conjugal rights, Susan Fitts (Mr. Matthews) said she was married to William Francis Fitts in May, 1894. They had three children. Of late her husband had become completely indifferent to her, and last August he left his home, walking out without giving a reason. An order was made for his return within 14 days after service.

Orders for the restitution of conjugal rights within 14 days were granted to Keith Norman Pitt (Mr. Singer) against Eileen I. Pitt; George Pearce Jackson (Mr. Butler) against Hilda Jackson; Harry Kirby (Mr. Finlay) against Eleanor Kirby (Mr. Singer); Robert Alfred Francis Taylor (Mr. Singer) against Rona M. Tavlor.

In the case of Dorothy O'Dwyer (Mr. Burt), against Charles O'Dwyer, tho period of respondent's i?etnrn was fixed at 30 days after service; and in the case of Hilda Bish (Mr. Wallace) against Leonard 0. Bish, at 35 days.
