ANGLER AND MAKO SHARK#
FURIOUS BATTLE RESULTS.

When fishing from the launch Jean Mr. Trevor S. Wither*, of"Auckland, operating from Deep Water Cove, hooked a large mako shark. " . * The fish put up a lengthy and furious battle and was landed only under great difficulties. The angler's rod broke •in two places. The fish weighed 3381b. and was about 9ft. long. , This is the second large mako shark caught this week from the launch Jean.
