NEW DRAINAGE BOARD.
ELECTION AT AKA AKA. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] PUKEKOHE. Tuesday. An election for members of tlio Aka Aka Drainage Board was held yesterday. Keen interest was taken, 190 ratepayers, or 96 per cent, of the roll number, recording their votes. The result of the poll was as follows, the first fivo candidates being elected:—W. Hosking, 139 votes; G. A Hill, 136; C. F. Shiphnrd, 126; R. A. Hull, 98; T. M. Robertson, 94; S. J. Cosgrave, 82. Messrs. Hosking and Hill were retiring members- The retiring members who did not seek reelection were Messrs. J. N. Massey, M.P., O. Henry and J. Guthrie.
