DIOCESAN OLD GIRLS.
The annual reunion of Diocesan Old Girls, which began yesterday morning and will continue till Sunday, has brought to Auckland a large number of the school's old girls, who still maintain the warmest interest in its welfare. It opened in the morning with a service in (he school chapel, celebrated bv Archbishop Averill. In the afternoon Founders' Day service was he'd in the school hall, at which the speaker was Mr. H. J. TD- Mahon, headmaster of the Grammar School. This was followed by afternoon tea, and later a cricket match was played between past and present girls, tennis also being played. The day's events, which were many, closed with a dinner held in Miss Mabel Johnson's ballroom in Dromorno Road, followed by a, conference which dealt comprehensively with various activities of the old girls. This morning the day's events will begin with a "scattered members' tea," to be held .in* the Tudor fearooms. Tn the evening there will be a fellowship meeting and an address to be given by Miss Pulling in the old library at Bishopscourt. | Sunday also will have its gatherings and i win be the last day of the reunion. j
