CARD EVENING.
A very successful eucliro party was held in St. Joseph's Orphanage, Takapuna, last week. Mrs. Greer and Mr. Langwell wero tho winners of tho trophies, and to Mrs. Sarsfield and the Rev. Father Doyle wero given consolation prizes. Musical items wero contributed as follows -- Orchestral overture and selection from "Maritana, violin and piano pupils; pianoforte duets and solos, Misses Johnson, llooten and Greenhough; songs, Miss Conway and Mr. McGuiro. Major Wilkio concluded tho programmo with a sailors hornpipe. Guessing competitions were won by Mrs. Battyo aud Miss Sadio Pocock, and consolation prizes went to Miss Madgp Lyons and Mr. Gilchrist. Supper was provided by tho ladic3.
