TO-DAY'S WEATHER HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-dny was supplied to us by Mr. 11. M. Vincent last evening:— Mainly fair to fine weather is indicated, with warm day temperatures and cool nights. Cloudy at times, with a few scattered showers, chiefly in coastal areas, hut tlio goneral outlook indicates a continuance of dry weather conditions in most districts. Variable and .light to moderate breezes and smooth seas. , The various barometric pressure systems show little movement, and stagnation has again set in, slight depressions progressing very slowly across the southern Tastnan Sea. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows: —Pressure gradients over tlio New Zealand area aro slight. A depression is apparently developing over the Tasinan Sea. Indications are for northerly and freshening winds. Seas smooth to moderate generally, but rising on tlio west coast. Freshening northerly winds and smooth to moderate, but rising seas in tlio eastern Tasinan. Weather fino at first, but later gradually becoming cloudy and misty; rain-sotting in over northern and western districts within about 24 hours, with prospects of a general fall during tlje following two days.
