RIFLE SHOOTING.
AUCKLAND CITY CLUB. The third shoot for the president's trophy was fired by members of tho Auckland City Rifle Club ou the Penrose range last Saturday under good conditions. The ranges were 300 and 500 yards, the former causing tho marksmen ft lot of trouble. Competition was very keen, G. G. Kelly's winning score being good, but the outstanding performance was that of tho Grammar School boy, C. Kobieson, who was within two points of tho loader over open Bights with a military rifle and no sling. Spoons were won by C. Robieson, N. TV. Chiswell and C. Peat.
