Y.W.C.A. ACTIVITIES.
Mrs. J. A. Bradstrect presided over the monthly meeting of tho board of directors of tho Y.W.C.A.. Mrs. J. C. Dickinson was congratulated on her appointment as vice-president of tho Y.W.C.A. of Now Zealand.
Arrangements weio made for tho visit of Miss Ethel Law,-national general secretarv, who will visit Auckland slioitly# A board retreat and committee conference will be held at Holiday House, Blockhouse Bav, when the general business of tho association will be discussed. _ A report was received from the president of the club's council, Miss P. Wood in which she stated that the various clubs had undertaken to redecorate several of tne club rooms. The girls had raised the monoy to buy tho materials and would do tho work themselves. Miss Bentjiam reported that tho clubs and classes were being well maintained. A most successful dub officers' week-end had been hold at Holiday HousO. During the month several cases of distress had been dealt with. Entertainments had been given at the various charitable institutions by the Tres Bon Club, and the Girl Citizens were shortly to give an operetta.
