NOISY MOTOR-CYCLES.
Sir, —"Three Score and Fifteen" Heserves our thanks for the admirable way he champions the cause of the motorcyclist. He claims that the comparison between motor-cycles and motor-buses is beside the mark. Why ? Simply because he uses the motor-buses and is therefore prepared to put up with their noise, but with the intolerance of his type he is not prepared to suffer half the inconvenience from motor-cycles, which offer him no personal compensation. Further, he realises that the comparison is just and has to content himself by talcing the easy way out. Has it ever occurred to "Three Score and Fifteen" that motor-cycles are very often commercial vehicles ? Has he ever realised that the very motor-cyclist who so "thoughtlessly" wakens him each night might possibly be using his machine simply as a means of transport from work to his home after the motor-buses have ceased their din ? Roaring Exhaust.
