GOVERNMENT REPORT. Tho Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows: —There has been little change in pressure distribution since yesterday, the anti-cyclone having remained practically stationary over New Zealand and the Tasinan Sea. Indications are for variable winds, with light to lnuderato southerly to easterly prevailing. Seas smooth to moderate generally. Easterly winds in the northern portion of the eastern Tasrnan Sea and southeasterly to easterly in tho southern portion. Light to moderate generally, with smooth or moderate seas. Weather still mainly fair to lino, but some isolated light showers at times in tho Far North and on tho East Coast, rriorc especially of tho North Island. Cool night and warm day temperatures.
