MINISTERS' WIVES' UNION.

The annual meeting of tho Ministers' Wives' Union was held by tho invitation of Mrs. Ellingham at Taree, Romuera. The reception rooms were decorated with flowers in shades of mauve and orange. Mrs. Ellingham and Mrs. Kemp, president of the union, received tho guests, and musical items were given by Mrs. Shirley Williams, Miss Joyco Ellingham, Miss Dorothy Blomfield and Miss Doreen Logan. Later, afternoon tea was served. Mrs. Kemp presided at the meeting which followed, and welcomed the visitors from other centres, missionaries who were hero on furlough, and Mrs. S. Barry, wife of tho retiring president. A welcome was extended to two new members, Mrs. Binnoy and Mrs. Rimmer. A motion of sympathy with threo members who had suffered bereavement during tho year was passed, members standing. Tho secretary's and treasurer's reports were read and adopted. The election of officers for tho ensuing year was as follows:—President, Mrs. Tuckwel! (Dunedin); vicepresidents, Mrs. Kemp (Auckland), Mrs. HaVry (Wellington), Mrs. Robertson (Chnstchurch).; secrotary and treasurer, Mrs. Jenkins (Dunedin). Prior to the meeting cars lent by Baptist friends conveyed all tho members of tho Ministers' Wives' Union to beauty spots about the city. This was vory much appreciated, especially by tho visitors. A vote of thanks was extended to Mrs. Ellingham, voiced by Mrs. Robertson, for her hospitality, and a very enjoyablo afternoon was brought to :i close.
