CHURCH ATTENDANCE.

Sir, —In Thursday's Herald a letter appears over the signature of " Churchwarden " on the subject of empty churches. The writer gives as one reason fo'.' empty churches that parishioners quickly tire of their ministers, and he suggests that clergymen should be shifted every three years or so. " Churchwarden." from his noin do plume, claims to belong to the Anglican Church. I would not like it to go forth that members of the Anglican Church are like the very modern husbands and wives and desire continual changes. Changes, it is said, are wholesome, .but the intense love of them is limited to a class which Carlyle somewhat unjustly says constitutes a large part of the community. But, generally speaking, regular churchgoers certainly do not belong to this class. Anglican.
