FLOODS IN MEXICO.
COAST LANDS SUBMERGED,
MOUNTAIN SIDES FALL.
BANANA CROPS UNDER WATER. (Received September 22. 6.5 p.m.) United Service. MEXICO CIT\. Sept. 21. A crop of 19,000 tons of bananas, grown l>y or for American companies, is under water in a vast flooded district which includes the coastlands in tho Stales of Vera Cruz, Chiapas and Canpeche. The Mexican railway has been undermined in many places and there have been numerous mountain slides caused by torrential rain.
Schools of sharks have gathered along (he coast waiting to feed on drowned cattle from the swelling rivers.
