GRIFFITHS BEATS COOK.
END COMES IN FOURTH ROUND
Australian and N.Z. Press Association. CHICAGO. Sept. 20. In a boxing contest at Chicago this evening Griffiths defeated Cook on a technical knock-out in tho fourth round. In tho first round Griffiths had tho advantage. Cook went into numerous clinches and lost tho round. In the second round tho in fighting was even. Cook showed moro generalship, but Griffiths look tho round. Cook appeared to be hurt after taking a count of eight. Griffiths took the third round. Tho Australian covered himself fairly successfully while his opponent attempted to knock him out. In the fourth round, after a sories of rights to tho head and. solar plexus, a loft hook dropped Cook. Ho attempted to rise, but his seconds refused to allow him to continue.
