WOUNDED PRISONER.
CONDITION STILL SERIOUS.
A slight improvement in the condition of John Leslie Buckley, the prisoner who was shot while attempting to escape from Mount Eden gaol on • Friday afternoon, was reported by the hospital authorities last evening. Buckley, who was seriously injured by the shot, was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition, s.nd, while a slight improvement has occurred, his condition is still serious.
