There was a large gaihermj? of p Layers. including visitors from other clubs. The president,. Mr. P. A. Hillary, declared the courts cpen for play and the first ball was served by ilts Hillary. The annual meeting of St. James' Tennis Club. Pukekohe, was held this week The report for last season stated that the clab had won the Franklin Tennis Association's B grade competition. Prospects for the coming season were good Tfie_ financial statement showed the clib to be in a sound position. Officers were elected as follows Patron. Rev. J. Patlinon: president. Mr A.
