In America there is a Children's Book of the Month Club. A recent choice was Miss Rose Fyleman's " Forty Goodmorning Tales."
Lord Charmvood, who is gathering material for a Lifo of George Washington, is a younger brother of Sir Frank Benson, the famous actor. A lifo of the lato Rev. G. A. Stud-dert-Ivennedy ("Woodbine Willie") will be issued shortly. Ho had begun a new book just before his death.
" Tho Secret Station " is tho title of tho first book from the pen of a Christchurch writer, Ellersley Hall. Mr. Hall is already known to young Now Zealanders. Soveral of his adventure, stories have appeared in the IIEn.vLD Boys' and Girls' page, and at 3Y.A. he is known as " Peterkin." the uncle who " tells his own stories." In " Tho Secret Station " he describes the adventures of two New Zealand lads who find that an unknown radio station is broadcasting a new and mysterious force.
