At tho London wool sales to-day 12,508 bales were offered, of which 5863 were from New Zealand. There was a representative selection of Merinos, but competition was slack and there were some withdrawals. There was a moderato supply of greasy crossbreds and a good selection of slipes and scoured wools met with good competition. A New Zealand greasy halfbred clip, "MacDoriald Downs," sold at 15d to I4d. BRADFORD TOPS. The Bradford tops market is weak. A small amount of covering is being done for spot requirements. Quotations are:— Sixty-fours, 34d; sixties, 32d; fifty-sixes, 27jd; fifties, 24d; forty-sixes, 22d; forties, 21d. RECORD WOOL DELIVERY. BUSY DAY AT SYDNEY, - Although tho authorities at Darling Harbour are accustomed to handling ten or fifteen thousand bales of wool a day, during the month of September, their oiganisation was tested to the utmost on September 9. On that day about 340 trucks of wool were in position at the wool shed. This meant that the record number of 17,008 bales, 9 butts and 259 bags had to be delivered to the varioils wool stores between 7.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. By using motor-lorries and horse-, waggons belonging to various contractors, as well as tho fleet of 20 lorries owned by tho Railway Commissioners, this was done. Tho previous record was .16,154 bales, 14 butts and 489 bags, on September 26, 1927. FEILDING FREEZING COMPANY. PROFIT OF OVER £4OOO. The annual report of the Feilding Freezing Company states that there has been a decided improvement in the affairs of the company. Tho year's operations resulted in a profit of £4073 14s, which has been written off as depreciation. The killings for the season were 225,229 sheep and lambs, and 2393 cattle, _ showing increases of 9036 and 34 respectively. Tho company also treated 19,663 calves and 1520 pigs, this being new business. Last year the company reported a net profit of £IBO2, which was devoted to depreciation. In the previous year, there was a loss of £6606, which increased tlie accumulated deficiency in the profit and loss account to £16,619. :

There was a yarding of nearly 50 head and buyers wore present from various parta of the liay ot Plenty. Satisfactory prices were realised, the highest figure beir.g 36 guineas for a throe-vcar-old bull, Meadovvland Hopeful, offered by Mr. B. gladden and purchased by Mr. L. J.
