PROPOSAL FOR RESERVE.
AREA ON THAMES COAST.
QUEEN CARNIVAL FOR FUNDS,

THAMES, Thursday
A decision to hold a queen carnival to raise funds for the purchase of an area at Waiomo, on- the Thames coast, for a public reserve, was reached at a public meeting last evening. It was decided to have five queens, two from Thames, one lrom Thames Valley, one from Paeroa and one from Hauraki Plains. A committee was set up to further the project, which will be held at the end of the year.
