PRINCE AS AVIATOR.
GIPSY MOTH PURCHASED.
DUAL CONTROLS PROVIDED.
Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received September 19, 5.55 p.m.) LONDON. Sept. 18,
Definite proof of the enthusiasm of the Prince of Wales for flying is his purchase of a two-seater Gipsy Moth with a cruising speed of 85 to 90 miles an hour.
The machine has been provided with dual controls in order that His Royal Highness may handle it in the air. Tho Moth will be able to land in a small field.
It is stated that tho Prince was anxious to own an aeroplane for private flights. He hesitates to use a Royal Air Forco machine which has been placed at his disposal except for definitely public engagements. •
