The Henderson Town Board met on Wednesday evening, the. chairman,. Mr. W. R. T. Leighton presiding. The foreman repoited that he had inspected the water system, and that it was in a satisfactory condition.
The traffic inspector reported that 200 licences for motor vehicles had been issued to date.
In reply to a request that the valuation of certain farm lands should be_ reduced under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1923, the Valuer-General wrote that he was unable to make any reductions, and the easting roll values would therefore stand unaltered. The New Lynn Borough Council, writing in reference to the reconstruction" of the Whan Creek Bridge, said the Main Highways Board had agreed to bear 2B per cent, of the cost of a bridge sDfi. wide, the remaining 62 per cent, ho be the concern of the local bodies interested. The csmtcfl suggested that the Henderson Town Board should provide 4 per cent, of this amount or 2; per cent. of -the tilal cost, and invited" the board to ' agree te> this proposal.
