1 LONDON DAIRY VALUES. O'

ADVANCE IN BUTTER. CHOICEST NOW !8I« TO 182s.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received the following cablegram from its London house, dated September 18:—New Zealand dairy produce: Butter, choicest, 181s to 182s. Market is firm. Cheese, white, 935; coloured, 945. Market is steady. Compared with prices quoted last week New Zealand choicest butter shows an increaso in prico on the London market of about 2s per cwt. On September 12 it was quoted at 178s to 180s. The firmer prices are considered by local merchants to result from the fact that smaller quantities have been arriving from New Zealand.. Increases are expected at, this time of year. In addition, advice from London states that extremely dry, hot weather has been, experienced in many parts of Europe, and there has been an extra demand from Germany. These factors havo all tended to harden the market temporarily. ;
