BETTER TIMES BAZAAR.
HELPING CITY MISSION,
Continued interest is being taken in the "Better Times Bazaar," which was opened in the Town Eaii on Wednesday in aid of the Anglican City Mission. The bazaar has been organised on a large scale, and the liberal response from the public that has marked the past two days will undoubtedly boj,maintained. A striking feature of the fair is a large wooden ship modelled on the lines of an ocean liner. The vessel," which is 70ftlqng, with a width of 18ft., and. vyhich comprises two funnels, masts, cabins and lifeboats, is artistically decorated with streamers and balloons, being illuminated in the evening. Throughout the day the ship has been the centre of great interest. Her merchandise comprises a variety of utility articles and eatables, each cargo hold making a separate stall. In addition to the ship there are a number of other stalls arranged round the walls of tho hall for tho sale of {)ro* duce, cakes, confectionery a,nd novelties. Many of the courts have been organised by different Anglican suburban and country parishes. - » ; - r In response to numerous requests by country supporters of the mission, the •fair will be open from 11 o'clock" this morning, instead of opening in the afternoon. • •" :• :•
