ESCAPE FROM CUSTODY.
PRISONERS IN AUSTRALIA.
FOUND BY BLACK TRACKER
SYDNEY. Sept. 18. A message from Bourke says three prisoners made a daring escape from the lock-up at Yatanbulla. When Constable Rippon took the men some tea they knocked him down and brutally assaulted him. rendering him unconscious. They then escaped into tho bush.
The police at surrounding stations were immediately notified and a hunt for the escaped men was continued throughout the night, A black tracker discovered the men next day.
The police travelled more than 100 miles in the course of the search.
