HIGH-PRICE DOMINANT.
NOT YET A WINNER.
Dominant, (by Saltasli—Weltea), who set the heads nodding so freely at tho Rnndwick salering when he was ottered in tho autumn of 102S at the yearling stage of his career that, the bidding reached the record mini of 6750 guineas before the same cloEcd, made a reappearance on the scene in the Doon Trial Handicap (7 furlongs), run at Caulfield on the 7th inst. Ho is credited with running a decent race, but he failed by a neck to beat Standard Bearer, who conceded his rival .lib. So far Dominant's form does not point to his earning classic honours.
